We re looking for a Customer Service Manager with experience of managing and developing customer accounts in an aerospace organisation to take responsibility for delivering Customer Account management across both the OEM and MRO customer base for an avionics company
Candidates should have a Hons Degree in Business Administration or a relevant technical discipline together with team leadership experience, experience in a senior role and business development experience (including most recent role)
You would also need to have experience of working with customers, suppliers and other company departments in a high pressure environment with complex contractual requirements and well honed negotiation skills capable of negotiating the use of resources with other departments as well as contracts with customers
Reporting to the Director of Sales and Customer Support, the main objective of the Customer Service Manager’s role, in addition to taking responsibility for Customer Account management, would be to devise and execute a strategy to maximise the use of the company’s legacy technology and to instil a process focus within the group
Day to day duties will include:
1. Coaching and supervising the Senior Customer Administration Manager and the Legacy Sales Manager including on-the-job training and day-to-day HR issues
2. Identifying and exploiting opportunities for aftermarket business growth.
3. Progressing customer enquiries and requests for quotations through to purchase order receipt.
4. Attending conferences and meetings with customers
5. Assisting other departments with proposals, commercial T’s and C’s etc
6. Providing data to assist in the production of long-term sales forecasts and budgets.
7. Being a continuous improvement champion and facilitating change
8. Understanding and being compliant with export controls and legislation
All candidates should, therefore, be able to demonstrate experience of maximising profit for an organisation; have knowledge of terms and conditions of contracts and an understanding of legal issues as they affect this together with experience of either civil or military aerospace work.
You should be prepared to travel to the USA or Europe roughly twice a quarter for up to one week at a time and to undertake similar amounts of travel within the UK.
