JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager
LOCATION: Warwickshire, West Midlands based – UK Coverage
BASIC: £30-35K Basic (OTE: £40K) + Bonus + Car + Benefits
THE ROLE
The role of Business Development Manager will identify and secure new business for the company, and nurture the company’s existing business in line with agreed sales targets. The Business Development Manager will also work alongside the Head of Engineering and Managing Director to provide input to identify and develop new products and technologies to assist the company in achieving its twin goals of growth and business diversification.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are,
• Collect, analyse and communicate to peers within the company, market and competitor information, allowing the company to track and develop its sales/selling strategy in order to ensure success
• Develop and ensure the most effective business development strategy
• Develop in agreement with the Managing Director an achievable New Business Development plan, to include sales targets to be monitored monthly
• Maintain clear and up to date records of all activities, communicating these records to the Sales Office Coordinator
• Work with the Internal sales office team to ensure quotations are prepared accurately and submitted on time, and that all quotations, samples and sales enquiries are followed up in a timely and methodical manner
• It is envisaged that the Business Development Manager will spend the greater part of each week in the field, with time in the office only to liaise with colleagues and management.

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The successful candidate will possess the following experience and attributes,
• Be educated to degree level or equivalent within an Engineering discipline
• Possess demonstrable experience and a successful track record in a Technical sales role within an engineering driven environment, ideally selling electro-mechanical type products to OEM’s
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to influence – from a position of sound technical knowledge and experience – key decision makers, at all levels within an organisation
• Be dynamic in your approach, self-motivated, focused and driven, with excellent time and territory management skills
• Be prepared to travel, including throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, and overseas where necessary in the pursuit of new business.
